Students, you can access the checking application via direct link provided by your Professor. You will need to authenticate via web auth. From the checkin screen you will enter the word of the day. Or you can visit checkin.ics.uci.edu, authenticate via web auth and then then pick which course and provide the word of the day.
The website will automatically try to determine your geolocation. You may be asked to allow the website access to their location. You should allow the website access for future checkins. While the system is determining your position, a spinner will be presented.
If location can be determined the application will indicate via "Position Found" else you will receive an error. You can see the examples of what it looks like in the images below. You can test your location setting here
